Homemade Pasta
A recipe from Sherry's Gramma Margaret.
Ingredients
- 1 cup semolina flour
- 1 large egg
- 1 Tbsp oil
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 Tbsp water
Method
- Mix all ingredients well.
- Knead for 10 min.
- Let rest for 15 min.
- Roll out and cut into desired pasta shape.
- Cook 3-5 minutes, depending on shape and size (al dente)
- Top or toss with your favorite sauce and some reserved pasta cooking water.
Recipe Notes
Pasta is quick and easy to mix up. It's the rolling and shaping of the dough into the favorite shapes that takes so long. But with all the fancy new mixer attachments, it should be quick to whip up some linguine or fettucine at least. Or stuff with your fave fillings and make into raviolis.
